City took the lead through Gerard Wiekens after 14 minutes but a second-half brace from former Eurpean golden boot winner, Jardel, won the game for City's local rivals.

Mikkel Bischoff played for the full game and will remain in City's squad for the trip to Wolverhampton on Saturday as Richard Dunne's ankle injury persists. The Irishman has even had to withdraw from the interantional squad.

Dutch defender, Wiekens, will also be included in the party for Saturday's game against the Premiership's bottom club.
