The Argentinian defender/midfielder picked up his tenth booking of the season 67 minutes into City's 3-0 win against Wigan Athletic on Monday night and so will now have to serve an automatic two match ban.
He will therefore sit out City's trip to Burnley this coming Saturday and the home match against Birmingham on 11th April.
