And now Keegan is looking forward to the little man's return.
"We have missed Shaun Wright-Phillips and I don't mean that disrespectfully to any of the other players," said the City boss.
"He gives us energy and drive and sometimes he gives us that little bit of enthusiasm that can help turn games. So we'll be glad to have him back.
"We are not quite good enough to go into that fourth spot at the moment, but when we get everyone back from suspension and fit again we will have a better chance."
