TT Podcast- Wild Wayne Euro dreams

Last updated : 10 October 2011 By Team Talk

The TEAMtalk Podcast is out now! It's available to download for free from our Media section, or you can listen using the Mixcloud player below.

Joining Sky Sports News Radio's Dave Armstrong in the studio this week are TEAMtalk.com duo Jon Holmes and Ian Watson.

Ian voices his exasperation on Wayne Rooney after his red card in England's 2-2 draw with Montenegro, while Jon grudgingly accepts the 'dark side of the Roon' before our trio investigate the reasons for England's collapse in Podgorica and consider how Fabio Capello will approach the friendlies before next summer's tournament.

Scotland's chances of following England to Poland and Ukraine are next on the agenda, before Ian and Jon rate just how bright Wales' future really is. Dave then offers his suggestions on who Northern Ireland should appoint as their new manager, with Nigel Worthington leaving his post.

The focus then turns to the continent, with mentions for the star performers from the weekend's qualifiers - Germany's Mario Gotze, Italy's Andrea Pirlo and Holland's Kevin Strootman among them - and some permutations for the final qualifying games, including the potential of Armenia upsetting the Republic of Ireland in Dublin.

The Podcast is rounded off by Ian previewing Manchester United's chances of getting a result at Liverpool in the Premier League on Saturday, while Jon wonders if in-form Gabby Agbonlahor can inspire Aston Villa at Manchester City.

Finally, Dave reports on his day out at Valley Parade watching Bradford v Torquay in League Two and Jon brings us up to speed on the state of play at crisis club Plymouth Argyle.

The Podcast is available to download now - and will also be on iTunes.
