Manchester City have agreed a fee with Blackburn for striker Roque Santa Cruz.

The Paraguay striker has been continually linked with a move to Eastlands and now Mark Hughes looks like landing his man, subject to  medical. No fee has been mooted but it is known that the striker has a clause in his contract allowing him to leave for £18m.

Elsewhere, Carlos Tevez has rejected the opportunity to sign permanently for Man Utd. The Argentine has already ruled out a switch to Anfield, leaving City and Chelsea to battle for his signature. More news as it comes in.

Kolo Toure could be on his way to City after Arsenal signed Centre back Thomas Vermaelen for £12m, which in turn could pave the way for Richard Dunne to move to Sunderland or Micah Richards to Liverpool or Villa.
