City's top scorer scored a penalty and a stunning last-minute volley to wreck Liverpool's Champions League ambitions last May. But it's doubtful he will appear tonight as Kevin Keegan wants to save him for the derby cup game at the weekend.

Liverpool old boys Robbie Fowler and David James are likely starters while Steve McManaman is hoping for as much action as possible on his 32nd birthday and his first match at Anfield against his former club.

Ricahrd Dunne and Trevor Sinclair have shaken off injury niggles to add to Kevin Keegan's options.

The Liverpool line-up is likely to be unchanged as Michael Owen seeks to end a goal - just as he was before he hit a hat-trick at Maine Road last season!!
