The Blues have enjoyed some great results this year but, as they've demonstrated in recent weeks, inconsistency is their biggest problem.
In his programme notes for the game with Chelsea on Dec 28, Pearce says: "As the calendar year comes to an end, all I can say looking back on my time here so far, as manager of this football club, is that I am incredibly proud to be here and that the months since taking over seem to have flown by.
"I have been generally pleased with the progress to date, but have also had my disappointments.
"As I have said on a number of occasions, my goal for 2006 and for the future in general is to secure real consistency at this football club and I hope that we are able to take further steps to achieve that during this festive season."
