The French forward proved that on Saturday after coming in for the suspended Andy Cole for only his fifth league start of the season - he scored one, made another and won man-of-the-match.
"It's not been easy for me to play this season, but when the manager needs me, I have to give my best to show him that he can trust me when he needs me. That's what happened and I'm very happy," he told the City website.
Cole is available again for the Boxing Day visit to Wigan, but Sibierski's hopeful he will be left in.

"Maybe! I don't know, it is up to the manager to decide but if he needs me I'm ready," he added. "Even if I know that I'm not going to play every game because Andy and Vass are his first choice, I am here if he needs me.
"I know that even if I am not going to play as much as last season, I will give my best in training and on the pitch. It's not so important to play all 38 games or score 15, 20 goals, what is most important is that we qualify for Europe.
"I have not got the time to complain. The main thing is that we get into the top five, because we can do that and we have the quality to do that."
Sibierski's biggest asset is his aerial threat and he showed that again on Saturday. His nod-down for Darius Vassell almost saw his strike partner score after just 13 seconds, and in the second half he set up the fourth City goal for Bradley Wright-Phillips.
"I thought it was going over his head, but he's got real quality in the air and with a great ball from Trevor, he's just knocked it down and it's dropped to me," said Wright-Phillips.
