Red Cards Expected Then

A glut of cards will be expected at Ewood Park on Saturday as Blackburn midfielder David Dunn claims his team will ‘kick lumps’ out of the City stars in the season opener at Blackburn.

In what is probably the least intelligent thing a professional footballer could have said prior to a game, Dunn says “It’s important that we do our best and kick lumps out of them,” before adding that it will of course, be done fairly. Dun also added that manager Sam Allardyce will tell his players to knock the blues about a bit and make Ewood Park a place no-one likes to go to. That goes without saying really.

Referee Mike Dean will be on high alert after Dunn’s comments and will be prepared to punish any harsh or nasty tackles appropriately. Meanwhile, Rovers manager Sam Allardyce claims City believe they can go to Ewood Park and win comfortably just because of the amount of money the club has spent.

Sorry Sam, but no-one from the club has ever said that.

Team news and prediction to follow.
