Ralf Rangnick has revealed how Manchester United are planning to beat Manchester City in Sunday's derby.
The two teams go into the game separated by 19 points with United sitting fourth, well adrift of the Premier League leaders.
Although his players are big underdogs, Rangnick revealed how they would be attempting to spring an upset in his pre-match press conference.
"We know that we are playing one of, if not the best team in the world. They have developed well since Pep arrived. The same happened at Bayern Munich and Barcelona. He is one of the best," the German said.
"We know what they are all about. It will be about a lot of tactical work, fighting with and without the ball. We have created a lot of chances in the last ten or 11 games. We scored four goals at Leeds and should have scored one, two or three goals against Watford.
"But I would have been more worried if we had not been creating chances. We are also compact when the other team is in possession of the ball.
"In the end, it is about controlling the game, not letting them play without pressure, because this is what they want, overloading spaces.
"The goalkeeper almost plays as a centre-back and the full-back a midfielder. For us, it is about finding moments where we can take the ball away from them and make the best of those transitional moments. It is up to us on Sunday to show that we can do that."
United have been handed a major boost to their chances with the news that Edinson Cavani should be available for selection. The veteran striker – who impressed last season, netting 10 goals in just 26 Premier League games – has missed his side's last five matches with a groin issue.
However, Cavani has now returned to training and should be in contention for Rangnick's biggest test since he took over as interim manager in November.
"It looks good. He has been in training. He could be part of the group on Sunday. We will have to see what happens tomorrow or Sunday. But, as things stand, he should be part of the group," he said.
