City stormed to a superb 5-2 win at Charlton the weekend before last, but despite playing the same side at West Brom last Saturday, the Blues were dismal in a 2-0 defeat.
"We really have to address the consistency," the City boss told the club website.
"It was the same team, the same format but the opposition changed and they played a lot better than Charlton did, so we have to address that.
"They were two tricky away games, and if we had played to the best of our abilities we would not have got beaten in either of them, and that was the case in the first.
"In the second, we were nowhere near our best and if we had been we would have got something from the game and I still maintain that.
“I think we can learn something from that," Psycho added. "It’s important how we react now and how we bounce back.
"It’s also important that the players show that that performance was not good enough for the standards we have set here. The best we can do is by winning next weekend.”
