Pauleta bid looks set to fail

Keegan is believed to have launched a £5million bid to prise the Portugal star from the French club, but the players agent, Jorge Gama claims Pauleta's future rests entirely in the hands of his club.

Gama told L'Equipe: "He feels fine here and he likes this area of France. He has even decided to build a new house.

"This is a very difficult case because the transfer window closes on January 31st.

"You never know but I think Pauleta is going to finish the season in Bordeaux.

"But it does not depend on us. It is Bordeaux who will decide on his future."
