No Drogba Bid

Media reports had suggested that Drogba was a target for City boss Mark Hughes but Wilkins has declared that the Ivory Coast international striker is too important to the Chelsea squad to be sold during the transfer window.

"We haven't received anything at all from Manchester City regarding an offer for Didier," Wilkins told Sky Sports News.

"Didier is a massive part of our squad, in terms of his ability and what he can offer, and we are delighted that he is here with us.

"Of course every player in world football has his price but he's a massive part of our squad and he won't be going anywhere in the transfer window,"
