Nash voices future concerns

Nash admitted that manager Kevin Keegans decision to drop him has left him concerned because he feels he may only be the club's third choice keeper when Nicky Weaver returns from injury next year.

“To my knowledge, I came into the team when Peter Schmeichel was injured and didn’t let anyone down,” Nash siad on Icons.com

“I played well and even helped the team to get a couple of much-needed wins too. Then when Peter recovered from injury I was straight out.

“I see it like this – if you play well and then get dropped it gives you very little incentive to do well in the first place and that’s what’s bugging me.

"I don’t think the manager dislikes me, but I’m a realist and get a strong feeling that I’m not part of his long-term plans,” he said.

“I hope I’m wrong because I’d love to stay here but that’s what I think. In many ways I’m in limbo because until Nicky Weaver gets fit I won’t really know where I stand. He should be back in January, so I should know for certain whether I’m coming or going at that time.”
