Michael Johnson eyes Wolves loan move

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy, a former City player, is favourite to do a deal next month after City revealed that the 22-year-old - once tipped for England glory by Sven Goran Eriksson - is only a fortnight from playing again.

Johnson has managed just two games in the past 27 months because of injuries. Troubled for a long time by pelvic problems, he then required knee surgery after a training injury.
