Mario Balotelli linked with PSG move

The free-spending French side are hunting a marquee signing in the upcoming transfer window, and see the enigmatic Balotelli as the key player to earn themselves a Ligue 1 title.

PSG, backed by the billions of the Qatar Investment Authority, made an inquiry about Balotelli's availability last summer, yet they laughed off the idea when a staggering ?40million figure was demanded by City for the forward. Although no doubt blessed with talent, Balotelli has had his fair share of controversy in England.

Roberto Mancini has made it clear he does not want to lose a player he has backed since paying Inter Milan ?22million two years ago. However, with his patience wearing thin on young Mario, a move may be on the cards.

Mario Balotelli has before expressed his desire to play with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who appears to be single handedly carrying the French side.

With PSG more than ready to offer a similar wage packet for Mario, and with the chance to play with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Mario may jump at the idea of joining the Ligue 1 giants.

Balotelli is believed to favour a return to Italy ? however, the current lack of financial muscle and flair in Serie A is not an issue in Paris, where PSG have spent millions in their quest to be the number one side in Europe.
