Today marks the sixth anniversary of the death of Marc Vivien Foe.

The Cameroon midfielder was loaned to City for the 2002/03 season and looked like making the move permanent after impressing in his first season.

Unfortunately, Marc collapsed during Cameroon's Confederations Cup game against Columbia. Despite the urgent attentions of medical staff who tried for 45 minutes to resuscitate him, Marc never regained consciousness.

During his time at City, Marc made 35 appearances, scoring 9 goals, the first being against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, with the last against the same opposition. It would also be the last ever scored by City at Maine Road.

A popular guy amongst fans and fellow footballers.
