Manchester City prepare to defend Premier League title

Manchester City start their preparations to defend the Premier League title with a match against Saudi team Al-Hilal on Friday evening. The match is part of a three match series and will be played in Innsbruck, Austria where City are holding a 12 day training camp. The match will be followed by fixtures against German side Dynamo Dresden and Turkish Super League outfit Besiktas over the following week. 

None of the players who featured in Euro 2012 will be at the camp as they have been given an additional three weeks off. Micah Richards will also be absent as he prepares for his historic appearance for Team GB in the football tournament at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

City will travel to the Far East after the camp where they face matches against Arsenal and an Malaysian XI in Beijing and Kuala Lumpur respectively. Their final match before the Premier League kicks off will be the Community Shield against Chelsea at Villa Park on Sunday August 10th.
