Man City predicted lineup vs Tottenham - Premier League

Man City host Tottenham at the Etihad Stadium as Pep Guardiola's side seek to strengthen their grip on top spot in the Premier League.

The Cityzens were at their scintillating best in midweek, hitting Sporting for five without reply to all but seal their place in the last eight of the Champions League.

Last weekend's 4-0 rout of Norwich also made it three wins on the spin on domestic soil for the Cityzens since their 1-1 draw with Southampton, although closest rivals Liverpool have shown no signs of slowing their challenge at the top despite the nine-point gap.

Here's how Man City could line up as they aim to stretch their winning run.

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

Ederson (GK) - His distribution continues to catch the eye, but the consistency of his shot-stopping is remarkable.

Kyle Walker (RB) - Should be relatively fresh given he was suspended for the midweek win over Sporting.

Ruben Dias (CB) - Could go down as one of the most pivotal signings in Man City's history.

Aymeric Laporte (CB) - The Spain international has dislodged John Stones at the heart of the City defence this campaign.

Joao Cancelo (LB) - His creative qualities from full back will be key to unlocking Tottenham's rearguard.

2. Midfielders

Rodri (DM) - Came in for criticism at the start of his City career, but he is now integral to the way Guardiola's side recycle the ball.

Kevin De Bruyne (CM) - The man for the big occasions for Man City, which he illustrated to devastating effect against Chelsea last month.

Bernardo Silva (CM) - Those jinking, slaloming runs with the ball have made him a prime contender for the Player of the Year award this term.

3. Forwards

Riyad Mahrez (RW) - His importance to this City attack should not be overlooked with three goal contributions in his last three outings.

Phil Foden (ST) - Beginning to flourish as a false number nine, making penalty box runs more associated with a pure centre forward.

Raheem Sterling (LW) - Netted a perfect hat-trick in last weekend's win at Norwich, with Guardiola reportedly keen to tie him down to a new contract.
