Man City predicted lineup vs Real Madrid - Champions League

Manchester City will look to book a place in their second consecutive Champions League final as they travel to Real Madrid for the second leg of their semi-final tie.

The Cityzens are leading at the halfway mark, having beaten Carlo Ancelotti's side 4-3 in an all-time classic last week. In very strong form at the moment, Pep Guardiola's men are fresh from beating Leeds 4-0 to return to the Premier League summit with four matches remaining and make it four wins in succession across all competitions.

Progressing to the Champions League final will still take a lot of work, however, as they face a Real Madrid side having also just won 4-0 to seal the La Liga title. Here's how Guardiola could set his side up.

1. Man City predicted lineup (4-3-3)

GK: Ederson - The undisputed number one is set for a 45th appearance of the campaign in this one.

RB: Joao Cancelo -
With Kyle Walker likely to remain absent, Cancelo should carry on on the right of defence from the weekend.

CB: Ruben Dias -
Started the previous three and will inevitably continue at the heart of defence after an excellent display at Elland Road last time out.

CB: Aymeric Laporte -
With John Stones still uncertain to be ready, the Spaniard will continue to partner Dias.

LB: Oleksandr Zinchenko -
Should be set for another huge evening against Los Blancos, in line to retain his place with Nathan Ake a slight doubt.

DM: Fernandinho -
His experience and composure at the highest level could be a valuable asset for Guardiola's side for a game in which the midfield battle is key.

CM: Rodri -
Potentially with a slightly more defensive approach in mind, we could see both Fernandinho and Rodri deployed in the middle of the park to get a grip on the hosts' creative threats.

CM: Kevin de Bruyne -
That's not to say City won't have any creativity of their own...

RW: Riyad Mahrez -
City's Champions League specialist should be reinstated to the side after eight goal involvements in Europe this term.

ST:
Gabriel Jesus - Enjoying such a hot streak at the moment, entering this one with just the six goals in his previous three.

LW: Phil Foden - Enjoying a purple patch of his own, demonstrating his unreal quality with two goals and two assists in his last three.
