Man City predicted lineup vs Crystal Palace - Premier League

Manchester City return to Premier League duties on Saturday afternoon as they host Crystal Palace at the Etihad Stadium.

Pep Guardiola's side will have to bounce back from a League Cup defeat in midweek. Their 5-3 penalty shootout loss to West Ham was the first time they'd been dumped from the competition in five years. However, the Cityzen's have generally been scintillating of late, most recently thumping Club Brugge 5-1 in the Champions League before getting a 4-1 league victory away at Brighton.

Guardiola's men currently sit third in the table and will come up against 15th placed Crystal Palace at the weekend. Patrick Vieira's side have shown very promising glimpses in the campaign's early stages, although will do well to start turning draws into wins in this one.

Here's how City could set out for the visit of the Eagles.

1. Goalkeeper & Defenders

Ederson (GK) - Zack Steffen played in midweek but Ederson will certainly return, having kept five clean sheets in his eight Premier League appearances thus far.

Kyle Walker (RB) - Only featured in the first half against West Ham so should be more than fresh to go again on Saturday.

Ruben Dias (CB) - Rested in midweek, last season's Premier League Player of the Season will surely be reinstated at the heart of Guardiola's back line.

Aymeric Laporte (CB) - The favoured partner to Dias so far this campaign, Laporte has helped keep clean sheets in five of the seven league games he's played.

Joao Cancelo (LB) - Has started the campaign in a brilliant vein of form, already boasting two goals and an assist in all competitions.

2. Midfielders

Rodri (DM) - Fernandinho did a solid job in midweek, although Rodri should be set to come back into the fold having completed 90 minutes in each of City's previous four league outings.

Bernardo Silva (CM) - Perhaps not receiving the recognition he merits, but Silva is in glorious form at the moment. An absolute joy to watch.

Kevin De Bruyne (CM) - The Portuguese's potential midfield partner isn't too bad, either.

3. Forwards

Gabriel Jesus (RW) - Riyad Mahrez started on the right in midweek, but we could see Jesus return. In brilliant form, having scored twice and assisted five in the Premier League already this campaign.

Phil Foden (ST) - Cole Palmer filled in for the 21-year-old against the Hammers but there's little doubt that Foden will return. Put in an immense performance against Brighton with two goals and an assist in his side's last league fixture.

Jack Grealish (LW) - Given a seven-minute cameo in City's League Cup exit, the £100m man should come back into the starting Xi on Saturday.
