Not that the Belgium international is complaining about what goes on behind the scenes at their Carrington complex.
In fact Kompany says it is an indication of how much the players want success with City aiming for a Champions League place as well as winning the Europa League.
Then there is the FA Cup and a fourth-round tie against League One Notts County on Sunday.
Kompany said: "We have a very competitive squad. We may not yet be at the level of clubs who have won things for so many years but we are getting there. Our ambition is the same as theirs.
"If you look in training, a defeat in training can lead to a very dramatic scene where people are very angry at each other. I believe with this mentality we have now and the longer we are together we will be able to achieve great things. We will enjoy it as well as we enjoy being around each other."
