Keegan has suffered pain for the last two months but was forced to have a cortisone injection after the 2-1 defeat to Leeds at Elland Road.

The 56-year-old will be unable to take training for the rest of the week but will be fit to take over the reins for Saturday's home clash with Fulham.

Arthur Cox, Keegan's number two, will take charge of first-team affairs for the rest of the week.
