Foe is on a season-long loan at Maine Road and it was his quick-fire double that saw City come back from 2-0 down at the Valley.

Foe admitted this week that he would like to remain at Maine Road and City boss Kevin Keegan hinted that he would like to keep him after seeing him bag three goals in two games.

"We have an option to buy him and have got to decide in March.

"He won't be cheap. He's been playing in the holding position but there is a bit more to him than that," said Keegan.

"He's shown that in the last two games and given an extra dimension to our play. We can't just rely on Anelka and Shaun Goater to get the goals. We need other players to weigh in."

"Foe has not scored for 15 weeks so three in a week is not bad. Nicolas Anelka, Alan Shearer and Ruud van Nistelrooy better watch out, Marc is after the golden boot.
