Keegan is seeking a left-back after releasing both Michael Tarnat and Danny Tiatto, and believes Wales international Thatcher could fit the bill.

The former Spurs man is looking for a move from Leicester having been relegated from the Premiership last season.

He was reported to be on the verge of a £100,000 move to Portsmouth but Keegan could scupper the deal and bring him to CMS instead.
