Whilst delighted at scoring his first goal for City, winger Adam Johnson admitted that he would have preferred it to have been against any side but Sunderland.
Johnson bagged his first goal for City in the 1-1 draw against his hometown club on Sunday afternoon but he had mixed feelings because he had scored against the side he supported as a boy.
"If there was one place I probably wouldn't have wanted to score my first goal, it would probably have been here," explained Johnson.
"But I am just thankful I have finally got off the mark because I am a Manchester City player now.
"But that's how it goes, isn't it? That's football."
