Norwich manager Chris Hughton believes it could go a long way towards shaping the remainder of their campaign.

Chris Hughton: "It's difficult to play a normal game against City.

"We knew defensively we had to have a good shape, but we also knew we had to be a threat.

"We had to be disciplined and also a threat on the ball and keep possession. I thought we did most things right today.

"We were up against arguably the best team in the country and you have to show something.

"We will have to show a lot of that when we go to West Ham (on Tuesday night), we will certainly need a fair chunk of what we had today.

"We have had some clean sheets against good opposition, but we have just fallen short at the other end.

"That's one thing that we have to address because we probably had three good chances."

"I did not get a good view of the clash between Toure and van Wolfswinkel.

"I must admit I've not seen that afterwards.

"He's a strong character, Ricky. I'm not aware of it but if that was the case then I'm sure enough people will have seen it."
