Fowler to continue up front

Fowler's first game after joining from Leeds ended in disappointment with Premiership strugglers West Brom winning 2-1 at Maine Road, but manager Kevin Keegan is certain to start with the England striker once again partnering Nicolas Anelka in the City attack for the game against United.

"Robbie has trained well with us this week, he knows us a bit better now," said the City boss.

"Obviously he was thrown in at the deep end last week. We will look for a better performance from the team and that will help Robbie and Nicolas.

"We all know we've got a pair of strikers who can score at any time. You don't even have to give them a full chance."
