Ferran Torres' Barcelona transfer clauses & add-ons revealed

Barcelona's deal to sign Ferran Torres from Manchester City included ten clauses that could see the Premier League champions earn an additional €10m.

Torres signed for Barça back in January for an initial €55m fee, though the deal was laced with incentives that could take the final cost of the deal to €65m.

The Sun have recently reported that the Blaugrana will have to pay just over €1m should they qualify for next season's Champions League - which now looks a pretty safe bet with Xavi's men climbing to second in the league table following a recent run of impressive results.

Marca add that Barcelona will have to pay City unspecified amounts if they win the Champions League with Torres playing at least 70% of games, if he wins the Ballon d'Or while at the club or if they sell the winger for a fee of over €100m.

There is believed to be a total of ten conditions which could be met that would see the final transfer fee rise to a maximum of €65m, which would see Torres go level with Leroy Sane as City's biggest sale.

Torres has overcome a rocky start to life in Catalonia and is already one of Xavi's most dependable players, starting nine of his ten La Liga games since his January move.

He notably provided a goal and assist in Barcelona's 4-0 Clasico thrashing of Real Madrid, while he has also made contributions in four of their five Europa League games so far in 2022.
