Eyre looking for right signings

The former City youth team coach has added Andrew Tutte and Ashley Grimes, who he worked with at the Premier League outfit, to Dale's squad this summer but he insists future deals will not be "rushed".

"Not to be ruled out," he told Sportinglife.com when asked if he will look to bring in players from the Etihad Stadium.

"But if you're a Manchester City player you should be focusing on Manchester City. They know where I am but they should be trying to make it there as best they can.

"Here is an avenue for them should that not happen and maybe we'll be able to offer them some support in terms of their development with a loan.

"I've got great support from the club. They've bought me up but I won't abuse that and at the same time I will look in a lot of other places other than Manchester City to bring the right players to this club."

Eyre was pleased with Tuesday night's 3-0 pre-season win over West Brom and he says he might not make too many more additions to his squad.

"We won't rush or force it. When you look at what the lads have done here we might not have to look too far if we look at all," he added.

"If anything comes about I'll be ready and will do my best for the club to get the best players to come here."
