Effenberg confirms City interest

The 33-year-old out-of-contract Bayern captain is available on a Bosman free transfer as his contract with the German side has recently expired.

Effenberg said, "I had three offers from Manchester City , Galatasaray and another club.

"I hope I can agree something soon. It is a matter of the heart."
