Crystal Palace vs Manchester City: TV channel, live stream, team news & prediction

Manchester City return to Premier League action on Monday night, as they travel to Crystal Palace.

Pep Guardiola watched his side draw 0-0 in the second leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie against Sporting CP in midweek, although have been been in better form domestically. They enter this weekend's clash having won their previous two Premier League games since falling to a 3-2 defeat to Tottenham at home, beating Everton before thrashing Manchester United 4-1 last time out.

They'll hope not to suffer another shock defeat to Patrick Vieira's Crystal Palace, who secured a spectacular 2-0 win at the Etihad Stadium earlier this season. Although the Eagles have struggled for consistency this campaign they are currently on a run of three wins and a draw in their last four across all competitions - most recently earning an impressive 2-0 win away at Wolves.

Here's 90min's preview of this one.

Crystal Palace team news

Joel Ward might be able to make a return from his groin issue, although Vieira will likely not rush the right-back's return to the starting XI and should stick with a similar lineup that secured a big win at Wolves last time out.

Nathan Ferguson is still a couple of weeks away from coming back, while James McArthur's knock should see him continue his stint on the sidelines.

Manchester City team news

There is bad news for City: Joao Cancelo is a doubt to feature through illness, so Kyle Walker's return from Champions League suspension will certainly be welcomed by Guardiola.

Meanwhile, Ruben Dias will remain out of contention so we should see John Stones and Aymeric Laporte continue to partner each other at the heart of defence.

Elsewhere, Nathan Ake and Cole Palmer will be hopeful of making returns to the matchday squad for this weekend's trip to the capital.

Crystal Palace vs Manchester City prediction

It's hard to see this one going the same way as the two clubs' previous meeting.

While we know Palace have the quality to hurt the teams at the very top of the league, City should be able to overcome what will inevitably be a tough test in order to maintain their ascendancy in what is becoming a very intriguing title race.

Each game is pivotal and can affect the balance of things at the Premier League summit. So, against a side that has struggled to find consistency over the course of the campaign, there is no excuse for the league leaders.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 0-2 Manchester City
