The FA is reportedly in plans to stage a tournament at three North West grounds, with City's stadium a potential host along with the city's other football stadium.
City chairman, John Wardle, said: "We had a visit from the FA's communication director for the Tottenham game and he was mightily impressed."
The former Commonwealth Games stadium was built at a cost of £120million and holds 48,000.
