Logan has just returned from a successful loan spell at League Two Grimsby, scoring 2 goals in 5 games, and is now on his way to Scunthorpe.

The newly-promoted Championship side are doing well in the top half and have secured Logan's services for a month.

The 19-year-old defender made his first-team debut for City earlier this season in the Carling Cup tie at Bristol City and also faced Norwich in the next round. He was then rewarded with a new 3-year deal with the Blues.

Laird, meanwhile, is heading to Port Vale for a month. The 21-year-old midfielder made 6 appearances in a 6-month loan stint at Northampton last season.

"I was first aware of Vale's interest a couple of weeks ago, but I picked up an ankle injury so I couldn't come," he told the Vale website.

"It's a big opportunity for me to do well and hopefully impress the manager at Manchester City at the same time, but I don't see it as a step down."

Kasper Schmeichel has played two games so far on loan at Cardiff while Ishmael Miller has made a big impact at West Brom, scoring 9 goals in 14 appearances for the Premiership hopefuls.

Defender Matthew Mills has managed to score twice in 14 games for Doncaster while Paul Dickov (Palace) and Danny Mills (Charlton) are both doing a job in the Championship.
