The striker has missed four games with a hamstring injury but could be back in contention for the Capital One Cup final against Sunderland on March 2.

Midfielder James Milner is available again after his midweek European suspension and captain Vincent Kompany is not affected by a hamstring twinge.

Defender Matija Nastasic (knee) is the only other notable absentee.

Stoke will be without winger Oussama Assaidi.

The on-loan Liverpool player is set to be sidelined for up to six weeks after tearing a knee ligament at Stoke's training camp in Dubai, while on-loan striker John Guidetti is ineligible against his parent club.

Centre-back Robert Huth is inching closer to a return from knee surgery while Andy Wilkinson and Matthew Etherington are both available after injury.
