Manchester city are preparing a massive 40million pound bid to prize Tottenham's star winger Gareth Bale away from White Hart Lane, as Roberto Mancini looks to build for the future.
The Daily Mirror reports that any deal is likely to include Adebayor plus another player moving in the opposite direction.
The move could see the Welsh winger potentially triple his currant salary, taking him to a wage packet of over ?100,000 a week.
Bale may be tempted to make the move after dropping heavy hints that he will review his future this summer.
He said in a recent interview, ?If we don?t [qualify for the Champions League], I have to discuss what?s best for myself.?
