City linked with Bellamy and SWP

Bellamy played under Blues boss Mark Hughes for Wales and at Blackburn, and reports claim City are lining up an £8.4m deal for the West Ham striker.

The 29-year-old made just 8 league appearances for West Ham last season and is currently out injured again.

But West Ham's chief exec Scott Duxbury has made a statement that the Hammers "have absolutely no intention of selling Craig Bellamy".

City are in the market for another striker with Benjani, Valeri Bojinov and Darius Vassell all out injured.

Meanwhile, the Sun claims that former City idol Wright-Phillips is on the verge of rejoining the Blues in a £9m deal.

The return of SWP would be a welcome addition as he would provide great balance to the City midfield with Martin Petrov on the opposite flank.

And it would represent a great piece of business by the Blues having sold SWP to Chelsea for £21m 3 years ago.
