Recent newspaper reports have linked City boss Kevin Keegan with two other Arsenal stars - Kanu and Ray Parlour.
However, the Sunday Mirror indicated that Keegan's main priority when the transfer window re-opens is a quality defender.
Derby County defenders Chris Riggott and Danny Higginbotham are also believed to be on Keegans hit-list come the new-year.
