The 34-year-old goalkeeper was hastily signed by Rangers in January to replace the injured Stefan Klos and he has already made a big impression at Ibrox following his £100,000 switch.

He has helped the Gers reach the Scottish League Cup final (20th March) with a 7-1 win over Dundee United on his debut, before keeping a clean sheet as the Scottish giants earnt their first victory at Celtic in almost 5 years.

And the former Dutch international, who picked up a host of medals with PSV Eindhoven before moving to City last summer, has now slammed the attitude he felt he saw during his 5 months with the Blues.

“I played for trophies in Holland and won a few along the way,” he told Rangers News.

“Manchester City is a big club but it doesn't play for trophies. When you play for a club like City you don't play for anything.

“If you draw, everyone is happy. If Rangers draw it is seen as a crisis.

“It was the same when I played at PSV. That gives you a rush and you want to experience that. That's the reason you play football - to experience that pressure.”
