City fail in bid for Lens star

The French Division One club want £4.5 million for the highly-rated midfielder, but City's bid fell well short of their asking price.

"The financial conditions offered by Manchester City were unacceptable," said spokesman for the club.

"So president Gervais Martel has decided to end negotiations regarding Antoine Sibierski, who will remain at Lens."
