CITY DENY TAKEOVER INTEREST

The News of the World reported the duo were part of a consortium on the verge of taking control of City and installing Gordon Strachan as manager.

However, City spokesman Paul Tyrrell has responded by saying: "We have received no contact from Richardson nor Jordan.

"There has been no new development or investment in City for over a year.

"It is our belief that Mr Jordan is in fact a shareholder in Manchester United," he added.
