City boss faces tough decisions

After uninspiring matches with Portsmouth and Arsenal, the pressure is on City to claim their first win at the new stadium. And against lowly opposition, the onus is certainly on the Blues to secure 3 points.

But Keegan's shrewd summer signings have left him with a dilemma - who does he pick? He admitted to the City website that with the current squad he could pick several different teams.

The City boss added, "Arthur Cox said to me that my problem now is not finding a team worthy of Manchester City but finding the right one."

Keegan also plans to operate a squad rotation system to keep all his players fresh and happy.

"We have a lot of games coming up and I will rotate it a bit. I have never done that before as I have never had a strong enough squad to do it'" said the former England coach.

He went on to express his support of the new loan system in order to release high earners and present players with a chance to play serious football.

"What is worse?" said Keegan, "having a player out on loan or one who is going to have five or six months where he knows he is not going to play except in the reserves."

"He could be an international player on a big wage. Why not put him out to a club that needs that type of player and will get games. It is common sense."
