Another Santa Cruz Bid Rejected

City's latest bid, an estimated £20million, for the Paraguayan striker was still not enough to tempt Rovers to part with the player that City boss Mark Hughes took to Ewood Park when he was Rovers' manager.

"Yesterday afternoon we put an improved bid to Blackburn for Roque Santa Cruz but it was rejected," said Hughes on Friday morning.
