Corradi got what was coming

I'm sick of seeing divers, and let's be honest, he's been at it since he arrived at City.

Stuart Pearce quite rightly condemned it and also pointed out there's plenty of worse offenders in the Premiership. That's true, but I don't want to see any wearing a blue shirt.

And it's not just Corradi's diving that's done my head in.

His work-rate's non-existant, he's technically poor with his feet and he's terrible in the air.

Just look at his first booking on Saturday. The way he jumped for the header was all wrong, his arms were all over the show and it was no surprise he caught Vidic across the back of the head.

I don't think there was any malice in it; he's just a clumsy bugger that doesn't even look like a footballer. And this guy's been playing as our main striker!!

While Corradi's been mincing about in the middle, Samaras and Vassell have been stuck out wide where they're almost totally ineffective. The pair both have their flaws - as does Dickov - but at least they work hard and don't look like complete novices (well, not as often anyway!!)

The thing that pleased me most about Corradi's red card was that he's going to be suspended so Pearce will have to pick someone else for a change. I just hope Samaras and Vassell - or Dickov if selected - do enough to keep Corradi out.

If Corradi does get back in then hopefully he'll have learnt to cut out the rubbish and put a bit more effort in.

As for the result as a whole. Well, we gave away some soft goals but at least we made a fight of it in the second half.

That's always the case against that lot though, isn't it?

We have to work our balls off for every goal we get against them, whereas most of theirs are gifted to them by either ourselves or the ref.
