Just like last season, United's outspoken right back promised a match-winning performance from the Reds.

And just like last season, the Reds left the blue half of Manchester thoroughly humiliated.

What's more, even United's devious manager was at it last week, highlighting City's dramatic turn around in fortunes and reminding us of our perillous league position.

"There have been plenty of good teams in the past who think they are okay, only to find they run out of games and don't have enough points," he said.

"City are in that situation just now."
