Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak has addressed supporters following the conclusion of the club's long-running independent hearing regarding Premier League financial regulations.

Speaking publicly on Monday, Al Mubarak insisted that the club remains completely united and focused on achieving success on the pitch.

"Following Friday's media reporting, many of you will have spent your evening answering questions and responding to messages from friends, family and colleagues. So have I," he said.

"Here's what I said to my family: The Premier League process still has a long way to run, and our confidence and intent in proving the club's innocence is just as strong as when this began.

"There are so many things that I would like to be able to share with you to help you understand why we feel so confident in our position.

"But the strict confidentiality of the legal process and our determination to respect it means I cannot do that at the moment. Even this letter underwent several legal checks to make sure it complies."

The chairman emphasised that despite intense media scrutiny and outside noise, manager Enzo Maresca and the playing squad are preparing normally for an intensive sequence of upcoming fixtures, including a trip to Anfield and Champions League commitments against Paris Saint-Germain.

Maresca's side currently sit top of the table with five consecutive victories from five outings.

The Premier League and an independent commission reached a verdict over the weekend, sparking widespread discussion among rival clubs regarding potential sporting sanctions.

Al Mubarak maintained that City will continue to defend their position while supporting the manager, thanking supporters for their dedication as the club navigates the administrative fallout.
