Pep Guardiola has officially recalled Norwegian prodigy Sverre Nypan from his loan spell at Middlesbrough.
The 19-year-old midfielder made 22 appearances in the Championship and will now join the Man City first-team squad for the remainder of the season.
Guardiola reportedly wants to oversee Nypan’s development personally following a spate of minor injuries in City's midfield.
The move suggests City may be done with incoming permanent signings for this window.
