Keeper Hands In Transfer Request

City have confirmed their interest in signing the 32-year-old goalkeeper but according to Magpies boss Joe Kinnear the £5million offer from City falls well below their valuation of the Republic of Ireland number one.

"We have put in a bid for Shay but we are still waiting for an update," said City boss Mark Hughes.
