Star studded reserves are two good for Bolton

A 2-0 win was secured by first half goals from Lee Croft and Paulo Wanchope.

Experience and youth combined to devastating effect for the Blues, firstly after 36 minutes. McManaman fed Wanchope and the Costa Rican found youngster Croft, who finished from close range.

Wanchope then added the second before the break after good work between Macca and Robbie Fowler.

The match proved to be a productive exercise for City. Not only did the youngsters make full use of the chance to play with international names, but the stars also gained some valuable match fitness.

Reyna, Wanchope and Fowler got 90 minutes under their belts while 
McManaman put in an impressive 65 minutes. 

The four will all be in contention for City's home clash with Aston Villa on Sunday.
