Sheffield United vs Manchester City: How to Watch on TV, Live Stream, Kick Off Time & Team News

Manchester City look to focus on securing a Premier League top four place when they travel to Bramall Lane to play Sheffield United on Tuesday.

Pep Guardiola admitted that City need to switch their priorities after they dropped more points against Crystal Palace on Saturday, allowing Liverpool to stretch their lead at the top to 16 points.

They will have to raise their game when they play Sheffield United though, with the Blades currently sitting seventh in the table after being predicted by many to go down.

Chris Wilder's side are fresh off the back of another impressive result at Arsenal, and will be hoping to add City to the list of big teams they've claimed points against this season.

Here's 90min's preview for the game...

Team News

David McGoldrick

Sheffield United are likely to be without David McGoldrick again after the Irishman was kept out of the Arsenal game with a foot injury.

This means it's highly likely that Chris Wilder could name an unchanged line-up for the third game in a row.

John Stones appeared to pick up yet another injury towards the end of Manchester City's draw with Crystal Palace, and with Aymeric Laporte not expected to return until the FA Cup fourth round tie against Fulham, Nicolas Otamendi is likely to start.

Aside from that, long-term absentee Leroy Sane is Pep Guardiola's only first team injury problem.

Predicted Lineups

Sheffield United Henderson; Baldock, O'Connell, Egan, Basham, Stevens; Norwood, Fleck, Lundstram; McBurnie, Mousset
Manchester City Ederson; Walker, Fernandinho, Otamendi, Mendy; Rodri, Gundogan, De Bruyne; Mahrez, Aguero, Sterling

Head to Head Record

This fixture will be only the fourth time these two sides have met in the Premier League this century. City have won two out of those three top flight fixtures, while the other one ended in a 0-0 draw.

The last time the Blades beat City was in an FA Cup tie over a decade ago in 2008.

Recent Form

John Fleck

Sheffield United's form after promotion this season has been nothing short of incredible, and they've bounced back from defeats to City and Liverpool with a win against West Ham and a draw at the Emirates.

With over half the season gone, they currently sit seventh and will be quietly fancying their chances of claiming a Europa League spot, even if Wilder says otherwise.

Before Saturday's draw, City had been an impressive run of form themselves, winning five in a row after the shock defeat to Wolves.

With the Premier League title now gone, the main focus for Guardiola's men is likely to be the Champions League, but they'll be keen to seal second place ahead of Leicester.

Here's how the two have got on in their last five games...

Sheffield United Manchester City
Arsenal 1-1 Sheffield United (18/1) Manchester City 2-2 Crystal Palace (18/1)
Sheffield United 1-0 West Ham (10/1) Aston Villa 1-6 Manchester City (12/1)
Sheffield United 2-1 AFC Fylde (5/1) Manchester United 1-3 Manchester City (7/1)
Liverpool 2-0 Sheffield United (2/1) Manchester City 4-1 Port Vale (4/1)
Manchester City 2-0 Sheffield United (29/12) Manchester City 2-1 Everton (1/1)

Prediction

FBL-ENG-PR-MAN CITY-CRYSTAL PALACE

Despite their poor result on Saturday, Manchester City are just about favourites for this one.

They'll have to be at their best though, as Sheffield United have already run Liverpool close at Bramall Lane this season, and will be out to take another big name scalp.

Prediction: Sheffield United 0-1 Manchester City
